Marriott introduces Ask Bonvoy™, an AI-powered tool enhancing travel planning for its members.
Marriott International has launched Ask Bonvoy™, an AI-driven conversational search tool aimed at enhancing the experience of its members. Initially available in beta to a subset of users, this tool will eventually roll out to Marriott's 283 million Bonvoy members worldwide, enabling them to intuitively explore approximately 10,000 properties.
This development may enhance Marriott's competitive positioning in the travel industry while improving operational efficiencies in customer engagement. It signifies a commitment to leveraging technology that could reshape travel exploration and customer preferences.
Marriott International has launched Ask Bonvoy™, an AI-powered conversational search tool that enables travelers to explore the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio of approximately 10,000 properties across 146 countries. The service is currently in beta and will first be available to a select group of U.S. English-speaking Marriott Bonvoy members via Marriott.com and the brand's mobile apps. A complete rollout is expected for all 283 million Bonvoy members by 2025.
Ask Bonvoy aims to enhance the trip planning experience by allowing users to search for stays, amenities, and experiences using natural conversational language. The technology interprets user queries to deliver personalized and relevant travel suggestions based solely on verified property data rather than unverified content from the open web. Anthony Capuano, President and CEO of Marriott International, remarked, “Today's beta launch is a powerful example of our continued investment in technology as we aim to make travel planning easier, more intuitive, and more personal.”
The rollout will be gradual, with the initial beta phase allowing Marriott to leverage real-time feedback to optimize the tool's performance. This innovation demonstrates Marriott's ongoing commitment to technological advancements in the hospitality sector and aims to bolster customer engagement among franchisees and operators by enhancing the overall user experience.
Franchisees and operators should monitor how the gradual release of Ask Bonvoy impacts user engagement and booking trends in the upcoming months, as success may hinge on real-time feedback and adjustments during the beta phase.
