Topgolf is set to open its latest prototype venue in Parsippany, New Jersey, on July 3, 2026. The venue will provide jobs for around 350-400 team members.
The introduction of a new prototype may influence franchisee expectations around unit economics and operational standards, as well as increase competition in the family entertainment segment.
Topgolf has announced the upcoming opening of its newest prototype venue in Parsippany, New Jersey, slated for July 3, 2026. This location will mark the brand's third site in New Jersey, complementing existing venues in Edison and Mount Laurel, and increasing Topgolf's total number of venues in the U.S. to 102. The three-level facility is positioned less than 30 miles from New York City, on Route 46, and aims to create an innovative entertainment hub that combines golf games with advanced technology and a variety of entertainment options.
The Parsippany location is set to employ approximately 350 to 400 staff members and will be distinguished by the introduction of Topgolf's new personalized offering, “My Bay, My Way.” This feature allows guests to customize their experience using the Topgolf app, enabling them to order food, choose TV channels, and capture game highlights directly from their bay.
In addition to the personalized features, the venue will have 102 outdoor, climate-controlled hitting bays, 24 dedicated game day suites—significantly more than typically offered at other locations—various lounge areas, a full-service bar, an extensive restaurant, and numerous arcade games suitable for families. The facility will incorporate advanced Toptracer technology to enhance gameplay, ensuring an enjoyable experience for both novices and seasoned golfers.
Topgolf continues to adapt its offerings to appeal to a broad demographic, indicated by the new entertainment features like a rooftop terrace, outdoor games, and multiple large screens for sports viewing. The combination of an expansive game play area and diverse amenities suggests a strong market demand for immersive entertainment experiences.
The expansion into New Jersey reflects not only Topgolf's growth strategy but also its ability to attract a large-scale investment in a competitive market, signaling healthy system performance. The upcoming venue's execution and the integration of its new prototype features may set a precedent for future developments. Observers will be keen to see how quickly Topgolf activates additional venues amidst evolving consumer preferences in the entertainment landscape.
