FullSpeed Automotive announced a surge in franchise development activity during the first half of 2026, signing 12 new franchise agreements and opening 11 locations. The company anticipates reaching a total of 18 more openings in the latter half of the year, targeting markets with sustained demand for automotive maintenance services.
This growth trajectory indicates a strong demand for automotive services, suggesting that franchisees could benefit from steady, recurring revenue streams in a competitive market.
FullSpeed Automotive has significantly accelerated its franchise growth during the first half of 2026, securing 12 new franchise agreements and successfully opening 11 locations. The company has 12 stores currently under construction and five additional locations in active real estate negotiations, accounting for a total of 40 locations in various stages of development. This expansion reflects FullSpeed's strategy to grow its footprint across the U.S., particularly in states like Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, and Texas, which display population growth and strong vehicle ownership rates.
The majority of this growth is attributed to the Grease Monkey brand, which opened nine new locations—four of which are in Billings, Montana. Other new locations opened include Laurel, Montana; Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Rexburg, Idaho; Valrico, Florida; and Woodlawn, Maryland. FullSpeed’s other brand, SpeeDee, added a location in Moorhead, Minnesota. With the recent developments, FullSpeed Automotive now operates a network of over 900 franchised and company-owned locations in the country.
Tope, an executive at FullSpeed Automotive, noted, “The level of development activity we’ve seen during the first half of the year reflects the quality of the conversations we’re having with franchise candidates across the country.” This statement underscores the company’s commitment to attracting entrepreneurs interested in the long-term stability of the automotive service sector.
Looking ahead, FullSpeed Automotive projects to open another 18 locations in the latter half of 2026, outlining a robust development pipeline fueled by new franchise agreements and lease signings. The company highlights that automotive maintenance will remain a critical consumer need, especially as vehicle lifespan extends due to high new car prices. The current pace of development suggests a healthy system moving forward, contingent on the successful advancement of ongoing projects and franchise agreements. What to watch now is how effectively the company can maintain this growth momentum through the rest of the year.
