The leadership changes signify a strategic push for growth that may enhance operational efficiency and territory expansion, directly impacting unit economics for current and prospective franchisees.
Florida-based fast-casual brand Fresh Kitchen has appointed two senior executives, Bill Knopf and Matt Livingston, to accelerate its expansion as it aims to grow from its current 21 locations to over 100. Knopf, now the senior vice president of operations, brings a wealth of experience from previous roles at Honeygrow and Noodles & Company, and will oversee restaurant operations including food execution and customer experience. Livingston, appointed as the chief development officer, previously led real estate and market development at First Watch, where he played a key role in its growth from 250 to over 650 locations. He will focus on Fresh Kitchen’s real estate strategy and site selection.
CEO Tyler Azzarelli expressed confidence in the new hires, stating, "Bill and Matt have helped grow some of the most respected brands in the restaurant industry, but what matters most is that they embody the FK culture." Knopf echoed his commitment to the brand, stating, "I knew right away this was a special brand, a great team and an opportunity I wanted to be part of." Livingston also shared his enthusiasm, highlighting Fresh Kitchen's values and commitment to clean eating.
The company’s growth strategy appears built on solid operational foundations and community-focused brand positioning as it approaches its 12th year. As Fresh Kitchen embarks on this ambitious growth trajectory primarily within Florida, it signals a strong intent to bolster its presence in the market. The effectiveness of Knopf and Livingston’s experience and their ability to execute Fresh Kitchen's vision will be crucial for the brand's sustained health during this expansion phase. Observing how quickly Fresh Kitchen can activate its new development plans will be key to understanding its growth potential.
