IFPG names Don Daszkowski Executive Chairman to steer M&A and corporate development.

Don Daszkowski has transitioned to Executive Chairman of IFPG, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. COO Matt Otskey is promoted to CEO, as IFPG aims to strengthen its platform and member value through strategic partnerships and technology investments.
This leadership change signals a strategic push for growth through acquisitions, which may create new opportunities for franchisees and multi-unit operators within the broader franchise ecosystem.
Don Daszkowski, the founder and former CEO of the International Franchise Professionals Group (IFPG), has transitioned to the position of Executive Chairman, where he will lead M&A and Corporate Development efforts. This shift allows COO Matt Otskey to step into the CEO role, signaling a strategic focus on expanding IFPG’s platform through acquisitions and enhanced corporate development activities. Daszkowski emphasized the strength of IFPG in his new capacity, stating, “IFPG has never been stronger… Matt has spent the last four years earning the trust of our team, members, franchisor partners and board.”
Under Daszkowski's leadership in corporate development, IFPG plans to pursue further growth through acquisitions, as evidenced by recent moves to acquire Business Alliance Inc., a franchise broker network, and Franchise Business Review, an independent market research firm. The organization has also introduced Franchise Ignition, a lead generation platform, which was developed through the acquisition of St. Jacques Marketing. CNL Strategic Capital and Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) are backing these initiatives, indicating a strong financial foundation for the brand's expansion efforts. Daszkowski remarked on the collaborative synergy with CNL and LLCP, stating, “Together, we’ll continue investing in technology, acquisitions and growth opportunities.”
Moreover, Daszkowski's involvement extends beyond IFPG as he continues to contribute to the franchise industry's regulatory landscape through boards such as the International Franchise Association’s Supplier Forum Advisory Board. He expressed a positive outlook for IFPG’s future, assuring members of his continued active participation and appreciation for their support: “I truly believe the best is yet to come.”
The organizational changes and strategic focus suggest that IFPG is prioritizing growth in technology and acquisitions while fostering relationships among its members and partners. The implications of this leadership transition may prompt further developments in the organization’s expansion strategy in the near term.
